You know what was really helpful for me last year??? It’s an amazing and simple exercise, that I will share with you now. Grab a pen & paper, or open Word. Now ask yourself: What did you love to do as a little child? (till age 10) And start writing everything down. How did you
‘Tantra trusts in your body.
Tantra trusts in your senses.
Tantra trusts in your energy.
Tantra trusts in you!
Tantra does not deny anything,
but transforms everything.’
My name is
I wish to share my love for tantra with you. Before really getting into tantra, I was practicing and teaching a lot of yoga. And although I still love yoga too, it never really felt like a ‘complete’ practice to me. When I decided to dive into the world of tantra, I understood what I had been missing.
Tantra doesn’t exclude any part of me, tantra includes all of me. Suddenly ALL of me was welcome. My anger, my sadness, my playfulness, my animal side, my fears, my joy, my busy mind, my sensuality, my sexuality – everything. Before I was fighting with a lot of these aspects of myself. Fighting with everything that isn’t me in my essence, fighting with my humanness. I thought that was the way to enlightenment.
I discovered the opposite is true. The key is not fighting – it is fully embracing and living all aspects of myself, but with awareness! Consciously.
[Remember: Whatever you fight, you strengthen, and what you resist, persists.]
By doing this, I started experiencing more freedom, more aliveness and more love -for myself, for others and for life- than ever. I started having experiences I didn’t even know were possible for a ‘simple human being’ like myself 😉
By consciously living all of me, I’ve gotten to the deepest spiritual experiences.
Our body and our whole being is hardwired for bliss! Trust me. Or even beter: find out for yourself!
Tantra consists of active meditations, silent meditations, expressing emotions, massages, dancing, raising our sexual energy (kundalini energy) and so on.
I am offering different sorts of tantric workshops and courses in Groningen. Later this year I will be offering weekend workshop in the Netherlands, with a male co-teacher. There’s lots of great stuff coming up, so stay tuned!
“Tantra is the natural way;
the loose and the natural is the goal. You need not fight with the current; simply move with it, float with it. The river is going to the sea, so why fight? Move with the river, become one with the river: surrender.”
A little look inside my life, inside my head, inside my heart.
YES! This message really kickstarted my spiritual journey. I read The Power of Now at age 24 and it has been a life changing moment. I remember the first day I started reading it. It was like waking up from a dream. As most people, I was almost always in my head. The things we think may differ, but we are all continouisly thinking, having inner dialogues, opinions, thinking about the future and past, critizing ourselves and others. I was very good at critizing myself. I felt I was never good enough. That I didn't achieve enough. That I wasn't pretty enough. Actually, I found most things ugly about myself. Everyday I would feel disappointed about myself. Not only did I critize mysef. I thought all of this critisism to be the truth. Then...
(a peek into my tantra life) Last Monday's 'Taste of Tantra' night was a big success. When I hear how touched people were, or how they felt the energy flowing, or that they felt liberated, or connected... I feel a deep joy in my heart <3 Because that's what I am doing it for. To infect as many people as I can with the tantra flu! And I am also happy when I hear people encountered resistance. Difficulties. DISLIKE. Because tantra is not going to the sauna... It is not all nice, all good, all relaxation, all fun. Actually, the moments when we are confronted with something uncomfortable or difficult, these are huge possibilities of a breakthrough. Because it is easy to say yes to life when things are nice and comfortable. But can you say yes to life when things are hard and unpleasant? If you get into a mode of being with what is... of saying yes to...
*Good news & bad news* Okay let's start with the bad news. 'Every woman is wired differently. Some women's nerves branch more in the vagina; other women's nerves branch more in the clitoris. Some branch a great deal in the perineum, or at the mouth of the cervix. That accounts for some of the differences in female sexual response.' What's physically stimulating for one woman, may not work at all for another woman. So with every woman you will have to discover how her body is wired. Ask her things - before sex, during sex, after sex. Help her open up and express herself - if she isn't doing so already. A woman often times is afraid to express what she wants and likes, sexually. Either because she doesn't want to make you feel like you're doing something wrong. Or because she feels embarrased about showing her desires. (Unconsciously, we are still very...
‘Your inner purpose is to awaken. It is as simple as that. You share that purpose with every other person on the planet – because it is the purpose of humanity. Your inner purpose is an essential part of the purpose of the whole, the universe and its emerging intelligence. Your outer purpose can change over time. It varies greatly from person to person. Finding and living in alignment with the inner purpose is the foundation for fulfilling your outer purpose.
It is the basis for true success.’

I participated in the Chakra Journey course and I can recommend it to you wholeheartedly if you are ready for a new step in your life. Elien has a nice and gentle way of guiding and with her enthusiasm she invites you to go beyond your own limits and to be curious about what is possible in connection with yourself and others. Every workshop is different and she uses beautiful exercises. For me, many things started happening and it opened doors that had been closed for a while. So if you are curious about tantra but mainly about yourself then this is a great course!
Shivani is an amazing woman, great teacher and beautiful soul. Tantra is her natural state of being. I highly recommend her as a space holder and guide to a deeper life experience.
Shivani is sincere and honest in the way she teaches her workshops. A beautiful, soft and energetic presence. She has a lot of knowledge in the field of Tantra and spirituality. And during the wonderful, loving massage she gave me I was able to completely relax and experience stillness.
